St Peter enthroned
A grandiose painting c.19th century, in the Lateran Palace which is very much of its age showing St Peter enthroned as prince of the apostles and Vicar of Christ.
Today, 22 February, is the feast of the Chair of St Peter, celebrating St Peter and his successors, the bishops of Rome (popes) as the guarantors of Church unity given to the Church by Christ. The pope on the right is Pius IX, as identified by the coat of arms on the stole. CommentsLawrence OP

My guess would be first third of 20th century, a sort of pseudo-Beuronese with a Renaissance flair. A long way from that fishing boat on the Lake of Galilee. Thanks for posting to the Catholic Church Alive group.
