Boston-Harbor-1987
Pollution and debris in Boston Harbor around the spring of 1987. This was taken just before the harbor cleanup was to begin. You don't see trash and debris like this in the water there anymore. The first George Bush used images like this (not this one!) against Democratic candidate Michael Dukakis.

Dear photographer,
Le COMPA is a french museum located in Chartres, not far from Paris (France).
On the February 19th, this museum will show its new exhibition dealing with Water and Sustainable development. In this purpose, we have decided to collect as many pictures as we can, to show the various aspects of our relation to water. Nevertheless, in order to be sure to obtain good quality pictures, we would like to use some of those which are displayed on the Flickr website. Some of those we have noticed are yours.
The use of the mentioned pictures will obviously comply with the Creative Commons regulation. Nevertheless, we would like to obtain your agreement before showing these images. By the way, and if you want so, we would like to add the correct name or pseudonym of the photographer above all the pictures and a short title as well.
Finally, and in order for us to have correct printing of your photo, the best way would be to work with a 300 dpi resolution with a minimal size of 3600 x 2400 pixels. Could you please send us the corresponding file?
We’re longing for your answer and would be please to answer any remaining question about this project : nifranchot@gmail.com
Sincerely yours
Nicolas Franchot
