As I walked along the supposed golden path.....

I was driving home a few weeks ago and came across this scene. There had been heavy rain but the sun came out and the rays were vaporising the surface water from the road. This image does not do justice to the scene!

Green Hairstreak on gorse

I was out for a walk yesterday as part of a butterfly biodiversity survey that is being undertaken in Ireland and the Uk www.biodiversityireland.ie/index2.php?page_id=5&tab_i.... Its a great excuse to get out for a strole in the sun every week and it was a big surprise to see 30 of these beautiful butterflies which I had probably passed many times but never noticed before!
