Gamer : who is playing me ?
Here is a self portrait inspired from a movie called "Gamer".
Once in London I had a look through different photography magazines. One with an interesting tutorial caught my attention : "Photoshop User". I realised later than the tutorial was how to make a movie poster.
Strobist : my camera was on a tripod fitted with a flash trasmitter (ST-E2) and a wireless remote control. On a second tripod, placed at 10' O clock, was fitted the flash (580 EX) used bared in manual mode powered down to about 1/64.
I stood in a front of a black poster, holding in my hand a remote control and a mirror. I used the mirror to have a quick look to myself but also to redirect light on the dark side.
Then I followed the tutorial from "Photoshop User". Voila.

Voila.

Berlin : disorientation
Berlin : archive 2003.
It's the last photo of Berlin I'm going to upload. You can see the House of World Cultures a modern centre for contemporary arts.
On a personal note, I'm surprised that my album doesn't contain any photos of the Reichstag. I remember I took photos but what happened to the film or the photos ???

An iconic Trabant in Berlin
Archive 2003.
When I visited Berlin in 2003, 14 years ofter the fall of the Wall, it was already difficult to see Trabant in the streets. I was happy when I finally saw one.
It was interesting to read on wikipedia that the Trabant was the first car with a body made from recycled material due to a lack of steel. It was more expoensive to buy a second hand car than a new one : why ? because the usual waiting time was about 15 years !

Berlin : Brandenburg gate
Archive : Berlin 2003.
If you want to see stunning photos dating from the fall of the Berlin Wall and its 20th aniversary, you can have a look to the Big Picture from the Boston Globe. The photos are always stumming, much better than I can do.
