El color rojizo del agua se debe a pequeños organismos llamados artemias, a la salinidad extrema del agua y a los minerales que abundan aquí. Estos bichos alimentan a los flamencos que viven en la zona, y son los que les dan la coloración rosada tan bonita a sus plumas =D. El color blanco de la orilla se debe a pequeños peces, muertos por la salinidad del agua y cubiertos totalmente por sal =(.

English:
The reddish color of the water is caused by little organisms called artemia, by the extreme salinity and by the abundant minerals here. These organisms feed the flamingos that thrive the area, and are responsible for the pink coloration of their feathers. =D. The white color on the shore is due to many little dead fish, each one covered completely by salt =(.
