Waving Seaweed or Seaweed Wave?

    Newer Older

While visiting at Gaviota State Park, north of Santa Barbara, California, I was amazed to see the seaweed, which dotted the surface of the ocean a ways out from the shore, made designs in the transparent waves as they came in. We were staying at Rancho Oso NACO at the time. (09-12-29-3295)

??????? After relative obscurity, all of a sudden, this photo started getting 100's of views per day -- even over 1000 for a day or two!!!!

    WHY??????

Thank you so much, nduanetesh!! (see link below and then the 'not all that uncommon' link)

I couldn't figure out what had happened to suddenly make this picture get so many views -- mystery solved!

It really was a unique sight and I've never seen it at any other beach I've been at.
