She's a talented 3D designer, and the group invited her to speak at the next meeting about her educational work in SL (check out her Exploratorium project!) AngryBeth Shortbread. An amazing artist and coder in SL. She has been working on a very cool interactive whiteboard for inworld lectures. A great tool for educators! "Notetaker" device by Eloise Pasteur which allows people to opt-in to allow their public chat to be saved for a public transcript. 
I spoke at a weekly meeting held by grad students who are using Second Life as part of their academic research. My discussion focused on the importance of research ethics in virtual worlds.
