Another card made by Krämer-Deckler in Freiburg. I have some more by him from the same unit (see comment). It seems to be a wartime picture.
On scene here are men of the Ersatz Eskadron of the
Jäger-zu-Pferde-Regt. Nr.3 (Replacements Squadron) during dismounted
combat training. All recruits are wearing a litewka (fatigue tunic),
rather than their Köller. The litewka was often worn in barracks and
training grounds. The have a armband on to signify their team in this
exercise. The Krätchen seem to be fieldgrey examples.
In the center of the back row is an NCO from their unit, who is wearing a simplified version of the green JzP Köller. The simplified version as seen here, does not have double rows of lace running over the front anymore, but only on the collar.
All men are armed with Kar98 and have M1909 Cavalry (thin) type ammo pouches on their cavalry belts. Two Stahlrohrlanzen flank the group. Three men also have a small flag in their hand, possibly, they are the signalers of the troop.
