Grinnell Glacier Overlook

Glacier National Park - Montana.

Ok ... this hike about killed us. After hiking 7-8 miles, we hit a brutal stretch that climbed about 1,500 feet in 6/10 of a mile. It was worth it though ... probably not too many better views in the entire country than this. The glaciers are slowly melting, and will likely be gone by 2030. I think this was taken at an altitude of around 8,500 feet.

The lakes, from left to right, are Lake Josephine, Grinnell Lake and Upper Grinnell Lake.
