'i hate my work job' | business man project - explored

    Newer Older

This image was part of a 6 piece photo essay that became a kind of social experiment at hate.codefor.com titled Poverty of the Mind.

A project for university exploring the impact visual media can have on raising awareness of less known cultural issues in our society. I chose Poverty of the Mind as an issue and created a story of a business man who for whatever reason is unable to peruse his happiness and becomes trapped in a job he is clearly unhappy with!

Thanks to Lewis for being my model for the day! His expression in this photo was not acting, I think he just really didn't like being in front of the camera for a change (he’s also a photographer), hehe.

    BIG is better

The macro site overlaid real time tweets of hate or aspiration relating to peoples work and jobs. Here are some Tweets I picked out over an hour for evaluation of my project:

The site can be seen here: http://hate.codefor.com I still find it an interesting search term, and tweet results always surprise and move me

      Thanks everyone :)

I guess it could be for many reason. Lack of money, fear of moving or giving it all up, pressure from family or lack of education
