Lion cub taken just before Christmas at Chester Zoo, England. He was out playing with his mum and dad keeping the small crowd entertained!
An update on this little fella (via becki):
It is with deep regret that Chester Zoo announces the death of Asiatic Lion cub Chakra. Chakra, who was born in August last year, was put to sleep on Friday evening (January 9).
Regrettably, Chakra had been diagnosed with a developmental disorder which had recently become apparent as he grew and became more active. - link - January 9 2009
Really sad and tragic news :(

This is a wonderful image!
But sorry to hear that he's gone.
About a year ago to the date, the Oregon Zoo lost Freddy, an Amur leopard who had been fighting cancer for the majority of his life. He was my favorite zoo resident, and I still miss him even now. His mate, Kia, who now lives by herself in their enclosure, still calls for him from time-to-time. It's an interesting thought; she really seems to be grieving him. :(
