Altered Box Closeup
Ugh! Bad photography day. I used Stewart Gill Byzantia paints on her face, so this was really difficult to photograph.
I painted the inside of a box with gold acrylic paint and glued a layer of dark purple Asian print card stock. The face was drawn on plain white card stock with Sakura micron pens, Prismacolor pencils, and painted with the above mentioned paints. I twisted and pressed foil wrappers from Hershey's Kisses for the gold and copper border. I glued this piece inside the box, and went around the edges of the exposed purple card stock with Tim Holtz Crackle Paint and my Krylon gold paint pen. The paper fan is a piece from Dover clip-art that has a nice watercolor effect from Willow knocking a glass of water over onto it (thank you sweetie, it really is a nice effect! >^.^<) The rose is handmade from card stock, with a glass bead in the center. The leaves are paper and wire. If I'm incoherent, sorry... I did my best. : ) CommentsLynn 3nglish
