Old Sturbridge Village Freeman Farm Axe Sharpening

Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge Massachusetts is a recreated "living museum" showing rural New England during America's early years (1790-1840). Interpreters of that era are clothed in period dress, and carry on the activities as done during those days. These two farmhands are sharpening the axe blade on a hand turned grinding stone in the barn at the Freeman Farm.
