...and the road leads to nowhere by Compound Eye - 1st book at Blurb now!

...and the road leads to nowhere

Taken in a strong cross wind, and from well above head height, this was a trickier shot to achieve than you might think. Although the decking needed little attention, I did hold back the blues for a muted, softer & more dream-like result.

It has just occurred to me that this image might make quite a nice wrap cover for a paperback book...

Toward eternity... by Compound Eye - 1st book at Blurb now!

Toward eternity...

Saltburn's famous, if slightly truncated, Victorian promenade still ventures a fair way out into the surf, but at low tide it's stantions take on a sculptural quality all their own...

Getting the DoF, and retaining sharpness in the waves & clouds wasn't easy as everything seemed to be scudding & rolling by at a fair crack, although in still form a deceptive air of almost hypnotic, languid calm sets in...

Questions in a World of Blue by Compound Eye - 1st book at Blurb now!

Questions in a World of Blue

Alone on a breezy spring afternoon at Saltburn pier,- one of the few remaining Victorian promenades in England...

Kein zuruck für dich... by Compound Eye - 1st book at Blurb now!

Kein zuruck für dich...

My first ever live explore... to my local half finished sports centre. This was the only photogenic part - under the swimming pool grandstand.

Typical of my local thieving, self congratulating council though - annex a large green space that was open to all for free recreation - running, football, walking, picnics, safe children's play area, waste a few million pounds of our tax money building a great big breeze block turd on it, with limited appeal [one swimming pool, a gym hall, and overblown refreshments area], and then make us all pay a 2nd time for the 'privilege' of going in the place!
