Russel Wright ThermoTray
I don't know too much about this warming tray, but thought it was interesting. Haven't really seen too many similar items designed by Russel Wright and manufactured by Cornwall Corp in Boston. Handles are wood, the bottom of this item seems to be covered in paper and isn't very sturdy construction. In fact, at first I thought the bottom had been removed. The foil stamp was still on it though.

As far as I know, this is the only item Wright designed for Cornwall. Great find! it looks like it is in superb condition!

thanks - it's in pretty good shape, a few minor dings and bit of discoloration. I didn't know what kind of metal it was so I was afraid to try and remove the tarnish. I almost didn't get it, because I thought the back was missing. The back just seems to be paper pasted directly onto the heating tray material, kinda weird!

That's how it's supposed to be, as far as I know. I'm not entirely sure what the metal is, either. I think personally I'd just live with the stains, but a gentle cleaning probably won't do any significant damage.

Ooh! I think mine is the the same design - mine is a gold tone & appears to be stamped aluminum, perhaps?

Cool... do you have a pic of it? I'm curious to see what the back of yours looks like. Also, if you have a pic of it, would you add it to the RW group?
