There is this really old barn/house right down the road from me. Ive taken photos there before but decided to use it today for Simons shot. The morning light was really nice. Ive heard stories about the barn and went it it years ago. Its been cleaned up a lot since than. Thankfully, it was a bit creepy last time I was there. BUt today proved to be a nice spot for photos. I wasnt sure how Simon would react, there are a ton of old animal smells linger with the old ghosts I would imagine. As always he did well.
Our first CGC class was Tuesday night and again I had my doubts. I really need to start trusting the boy a bit more. He's much more mature than his 8 months of age. There are 6 dogs in class. Simon was the youngest. I thought he might be a bit excited. This is where he goes to daycare to play twice a week. But he was stellar!! A true star and I was so proud. I do have a very good boy on my hands. Im very lucky to have him.

So I brought out the lensbaby today. I havent had it on my new camera yet. I really like it but hate the manual focus. Im really not that good so dont look too close.... sigh. But the little man took it in stride, with a few pieces of hot dog to go with the effort. I posted a second one in the comments because I just couldnt decide which one I like better. Such different feels in each of them. You decide.

So I know you cant see it but Simon is standing with his front feet on a log. I loved the title but not really how the shot turned out full length. So I cropped it to where I like it most. I need to remember to take treats with us when we go to the woods. I couldnt get the guy to look at me to save my life. To many sounds in the woods for a hunting breed. But he had a nice walk and trip to the dog park today.
