1808_6146 Wandering Tattler
A Wandering Tattler works the rocky shore. According to one field guide it "clambers actively over boulders" - exactly what this one is doing here. They breed in the mountains of Alaska and Canada's Yukon, and in winter they scatter widely to the coastlines of countless South Pacific islands, as well as the entire west coast of North America. I photographed this one on Vancouver Island, British Columbia (Canada). Don't use this image on websites, blogs, or other media without explicit permission © 2018 James R. Page - all rights reserved.
