7 billion people
7 billion people in the world now, going on 9. Then what happens? Or will even get there?
I was reading "The Information" by James Gleick and was really reminded what a staggering shift the world has undergone in the last 60 years. Strap yourselves in because the next 60 are going to be some ride.

Food riots or a revolution in food production. Arcologies. Space travel. ...and probably no small measure of suffering and chaos.

Love this in black and white and the lines make it look even more crowded and claustrophobic! That's why I love living in the country and on my one little acre of land!! It may not be much, but compared to this, it's heaven!!!
Fantastic eye and great capture of this ever changing world and I hate to say it, but not for the good changing! I hope our world wakes up soon!

Great photo and scary information. I keep hearing dire predictions. At my age, I won't be around to see too many more years, but I do fear what is to come.

little boxes full of people....I'm awfully glad I'm not a teenager in these trying times, struggling to get a job, trying to keep head above water in a world where we have plundered all the most useful things . . .
