Christmas #25

Newer Older

PhotoInference asked how I make these...

The ones with thin lines like this--focus about 1/2 meter from Christmas tree (you do need to focus or else too much light gets in), ISO 100, f/22, 30 second exposure. I either wave the camera around with my arm, or in this case I just hung it from my neck and walked around the tree.

For the ones with thick lines like the previous post--ISO 800 or 1000, f/2.8, 1/2 to 2 second exposure.

Clearly a key is having 2200 multicolored lights on the tree. There's a freakin' explosion of light everywhere. I also increase contrast to get rid of the light dust in the dark spaces. (Explore)
