Fingerprints

Many police departments are now taking DNA evidence in addition to fingerprints. The collection of DNA raises privacy issues; whereas fingerprints say almost nothing about the person they belong to, DNA says alot. Like whether you might be a bad health insurance risk. Eventually taking a fingerprint will become passe, and then later, charming and "old school", in a nostalgic way.

Great macro again, Kevin. And yes, I think you're right about the privacy but you know, there are many people who believe and accepts without thinking that losing civil rights the world will be more secure... but I see the problem you have mentioned, i.e. the healt insurances...

this is a very thought provoking shot. You make a good point about the dangers of DNA. Though i don't quite know how one would go about slowing this trend. It seems that people are getting more and more fearful about invasions of their personal space (through crime, terrorism etc). It'#s sad.
