"Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil" :) I have lots of Video Footage and Images from my recent adventures in Death Valley National Park. Hidden waterfall excursions, unfriendly gravel dirt roads, Sand Dunes and Sunsets, bad water and white salt beds, old mines and rumor mills, sunburns and starry skies, thinking minds and poison oak.... and the great desert dog. I spent about 6 hours hiking thru these sand dunes... lost in a dream.... in high sun..... without any skin protection... my cares like tiny ice cubes in a sea of possibility.... I wandered like a found soul who first stepped onto this earth in pure amazement and joy, in relentless blowing wind and sand I danced along the tops of these dunes, one after another, like a puppet controlled by that which I could not see.... on strings from the hidden stars... until my skin burned and my heart sang. At one time I sat in a wall of shade from a giant dune, making sand angles, free from wind, from rumors, only the silence of the earth... Defining... I reached down... cold sand slipping thru my fingertips.... and smiled... how simple... how peaceful..... each grain chipped off a larger stone over thousands of years and now at the mercy of the mother nature, her will and her relentless demands. Blown here and blown there. Like secrets that should not be told... only to be whispered and set adrift in the wind. shhhhhh.... If I could dig a hole in the shadow of this dune, I think I would never come out, my heart would be safer there. Sorry, it's a poetic night.... and my adventures were grand this weekend. Hope you enjoy my view. May the force be with you.
