Café Triskell is right around the corner from where I work. I thought it was excellent, but the service was necessarily slow. The chef can handle only so many orders. I am not complaining, but it means that I can't go there for lunch. There just isn't enough time.
It's meant for a more leisurely lunch, not the rushed lunches that I have. Dinner would be good, too, but, by then I'm home.
Still, I never fail to recommend Café Triskell to anyone in the area.
That onion soup looks really good, too.

I live near 30th Ave, so 36th is the southern boundary of what I would consider walking distance from my house, so we're not up that way all too often. It seems like there are a few interesting places to eat around those parts, and I definitely would like to check out more around that area.
Café Triskell seemed like a pretty mellow place. I could see how it might be too slow for lunch. Thankfully for us it was Sunday brunch and there and we had time to go slow.
The soup was nice. I had the Croque Monsieur which was alright, and my wife had a Butter Mushroom Crepe. My wife thought everything was a bit on the salty side, but well cooked. Next time I think I'll try a savory and then sweet crepe, and then I can say for sure how good this place is. But for sure I'd try it again.
