Nicky's (150 E. 2nd St., New York, NY) Classic Vietnamese Sandwich with patè vietnamese ham, roasted ground pork, pickled carrots, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño and mayo on a toasted baguette.
Among the best sandwiches I've ever had. While there is other Bahn Mi in the city, Nicky's was my first and still my favorite. I can think of no greater dining experience you can get for just $3.95.
Sarah.Yu, it could be me, workingid66, windhoek79, and Jordana Z. added this photo to their favorites.

I love banh mi! My favorite place is Viet-Nam Banh Mi So 1 at 369 Broome Street in Manhattan. I haven't had one in a while, not since I've moved, come to think of it. I'll have to give Nicky's a try.

Marshallplan Thanks for the props! Nothing beats having great food and good light ;)
Harris Graber I've heard a lot about Bahn Mi So 1 -- I'll definitely go check it out when I'm in that part of town. If there was only Bahn Mi in Astoria...

I've always been a fan of Nicky's. The is probably the best shot of banh mi on flickr. The paper plate makes it more appetizing.
