White-fronted Honeyeater and it's favourite food.![]() Much excitement as this bird has recently been seen for the first time in Canberra. This second appearance is right in the garden of a COG member (COG is Canberra Ornithologists Group, i.e. the birdo group).
What surprises me about this particular bird is how sedentary it is, having inhabited the same Grevillea bush (Grevillea rosmarinifolia) and the surrounding area now for over a week. The WFHE is common in more arid areas but exceedingly rare around here, yet another signal of the drought severity. Hopefully now waning. Commentsnightboss54
