3 of 7 :: Bento!

3 of 7 :: Bento!

I'm off on my next rotation of clinical tomorrow. Two weeks in aged care. I'm not excited like I normally am, and I just want it to be over.

I like to try and organise myself to take lunch with me to placement so that I don't end up buying expensive food that may not be very good for me.

After hearing Jen talk about bento boxes the other day, I decided to pack one again. I didn't use my proper bento lunch box because of my choice of lunch not fitting into it properly, but still...it will be yummy.

In case you are wondering I'm having:
hard boiled egg and tomato slices
baby beetroots and mini pickled onions
orange roughy fish
oriental rice (cooked in my rice cooker)

2 of 7 :: Inside...Studying...AGAIN!

2 of 7 :: Inside...Studying...AGAIN!

So, this seems to be a 7 Days theme for me. I always seem to be at the crunch point for a major assignment. This time is no different.

So tonight...I am inside, reading about pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and respiratory assessments, while drinking earl grey tea and watching the latest Doctor Who.

Like Bethany, I am also, yet again, fighting off some stupid cough/allergy/chest infection/sinus infection. This morning I had no voice. Which for those of you that have met me, is something to possibly be pleased about.

Tomorrow I hope to be a bit more creative in my photo, but for now, you get to see my knees in penguin PJ's.

1 of 7 :: My new man?

1 of 7 :: My new man?

So. Today, instead of doing the rather large assignment that is due in two days, I travelled to Sydney with my Mum, sister in law and my niece to visit my cousin and her two kids.

We took a train ride into the city and walked to Darling Harbour to go to the Sydney Aquarium.

It was excellent as always. Fish, turtles, sharks, dugongs, jellyfish, rays, starfish, Nemo, Dory, Gill...

It seems the Aquarium are doing a Lego exhibition at the moment, and there are various lego men, animals and sea creatures all over the place.

I was thinking....if I can't find a man, maybe a lego one would do. Though, he's got rather a large head for his body size. So maybe not.

Day 7 of 7 :: It's Yankees cold.

Day 7 of 7 :: It's Yankees cold.

It's been really cold this week. And really cold means it's time for the Yankees jacket to come out.
I bought this jacket at the Yankees Clubhouse store on 42nd street in Time Square when I was in New York in 2008.

I have a friend who is an A's fan, and he can't stand the Yankees, so I sent him this photo via text message just so I could hear him curse at me. I'm sure he still loves me anyway.

Day 6 of 7 :: Everything tastes better in dottery

Day 6 of 7 :: Everything tastes better in dottery

Seriously.

It does.

Don't believe me? Buy a Bethany dottery mug and see (or taste) for yourself.

Bethany painted this mug for me a couple of years ago at my request.

I really wanted a soup mug, plus I love the scene in So I Married and Axe Murderer, where Mike Myers' character gets his cappuccino at Roads and looks at the giant cup and says "Excuse me. I believe I ordered the large cappuccino. HELLO!"

So I asked Bethany to dot me a large mug in yellow greens.
I LOVE IT!
