Because of the tight crop, there is a real ambiguity in this image that I like a lot. It creates a strong impression of looking down into water. The blue 'smoke' element reminds me of computer graphic art called "flame" fractals (programs like "Apophysis" and KPT)
When I first saw your thumbnail I thought this was CG. Consider www.flickr.com/photos/emrys0821/80331327/ for example.
