he doesn't look very old, the camera could have done with being focused on his face rather than the leather bandolier.

This one is marked as "Mirror Studios, Great Yarmouth" and has an incomplete address on the back, it says simply:

"Mrs Sutton, 22 Wells St"

and

"Boy only"

His cap badge appears to be the Royal Engineers.

He has a kindly face.

Another ongoing restoration project.

This chap is quite badly damaged, creases, scratches on his face and uniform rounded edges and ink spills on it, plus some pretty bad foxing on the reverse.

He's my next retouching project, but I thought I'd give anyone interested an early opportunity to have a good trawl of the internets to find the info for the card, so here goes with what I've got:

The card is marked with 'Australia' 4 times around the stamp line, In pencil in says "father died October 1928".

In biro underneath that it says "William Smith".

The photo originates from Falk Studios in Perth.

There's a bit more faint pencil on it that appears to say "2b Smith" and either "12th" or "2nd" I can't make it out, I've not looked anything up yet.
