This is another close up of Eyjafjallajökull eruption. Taken with a 200mm lens with an 2x extender (400mm in total) from around 10km away from the volcano.
This is as close as I have gotten to the volcano. But who knows, that might change soon. Scientists predict that the eruption will go on for weeks or even months.
The most interesting and hard to see feature of this volcano is the lava flow going off high cliffs into a deep ravine. The contrast between the snow filled ravine and the hot flowing lava at its bottom is something that I must photograph soon.
