Ang Thong near Surat Thani, Thailand
Another one from Ang Thong, Thailand. This national park is a real tropical paradise. Unlike its beautiful but very developed and busy neighbor Ko Samui, these islands are inside the national park and are undeveloped, pure and even more beautiful.
We stayed here two nights in a nice bungalow run by the national park headquarters. There was also a small cafeteria selling traditional (and very tasty) thai food with very friendly staff. They even had electricity from 6-11pm.
This viewpoint is the first of four on the way to the top of a 500m high mountain. The hike to the top of the mountain is very steep at the top, requiring climbing some razor sharp water carved limestone near the top. The view from the top is just awesome. As we stayed overnight at these islands we could enjoy the sunset alone at the top. Most other tourists had returned from the day tours to Ko Samui in the afternoon.
This image is actually taken early morning the day after we did the hike. I will post later images from the view from the top of the mountain.
I used two GND to get the sky darker than the beach and sea.
