Frozen Still
This is from a Aurora hunt early February. My last two Aurora images are from the same session.
On a unusually quiet Aurora season this was a really good night. The night was really cold with temperatures somewhere between -15 and -20°C. Adjusting the camera and gear was hard and batteries drained quickly. The back of the camera was covered with ice after my breath froze there while looking through the viewfinder.
The difficult shooting conditions made me shoot this shot slighly out of focus, as adjusting the manual focus in the dark with a fogged up viewfinder was tricky. I tried to minimize the effect by some unsharp mask gymnastics.

You lucky man. We just got back from Island in the hope of seeing some, but all we had was cloudy sky... When is the best time to go and where was this taken? Maybe geotagg it.

Orvar, two nights ago I stumbled across a new tool called Black Magic that allows you to show, and anyone else to view, Flickr images on black or gray background in large or medium format. As a test I copy-pasted nosha's one-line code into the comment box here. Sure enough, it works. Click: B l a c k M a g i c "Frozen Still" looks great on gray, fabulous on black.
You can also view your entire photo stream (and those of contacts or anyone else) on gray by clicking 'hivemind' in the upper left corner. That, in my opinion, is the most valuable part of the package. Two people I know have installed Hive Mind links on their Profile pages and are posting them under their images now.
