two of 52 (Deadwood headshot: Spider McShane)

Spider was scheduled to make his début mid-way through season 17. His was a short arc, consisting largely of showing up and attempting to blackmail Al Swearengen, who he claimed was his separated-at-birth older brother. Unfortunately, Spider succumbs to a deadly kidney stone, letting Swearengen off the hook, while pointing to a probable genetic link between them.

Oh thank you! I was nervous about writing up the description for Deadwood Headshot (seeing as I'd never actually seen the show).

I decided I should be someone's long-lost brother, and ET sent me a link to the wikipedia page running down all the characters, and said that I could be related to Al Swearengen.

While channel surfing, I used to come across a promo for Deadwood and I would stop and count how many seconds it took until someone said the f word or the c word. On average it was usually about 3 seconds.

It's sad how easily entertained I am.
