Gloria Cowl![]() Yarn: Yarn Pirate BFL sock
Needles: US 8 - 16 inch circ Pattern: My own "Gloria Cowl" [Ravelry] 5 stitches = 1 inch Hight = 11", Width (of flattened tube) = 10" Here's my cowl recipe: Yarn: fingering weight - knit with 2 strands (stagger the colorway - this solved my problem with pooling) -Loosely cast on an odd number of stitches - around 99 stitches (place marker at start of round) -join - be sure that your stitches are not twisted -Knit 1 round -Seed stitch (K1, P1) around 3 rounds (round 2 starts with P1) -knit, knit, knit - I knit until I was almost out of yarn - about 12 inches -To finish, knit 3 rounds of seed stitch, knit 1 round and bind off. Enjoy the snuggly, cowl-y goodness whether inside with a book and a cup of tea, or outside braving the elements. www.orinda5.blogspot.com ETA: gauge and measurements E Again TA: version 2.0 here E yet again TA: Anniversary cowl here E (just one more time and then I promise I'll stop) TA: Many great Glorias by fabulous knitters here Commentsraineydayknitter
