New sheet of bio-paper

New sheet of bio-paper

testing out a new process for creating layered sheets. Winter here in France has been cold, and that really slows down the growth process! so this piece took almost a month to make. But I expect that summer will allow for more rapid paper production.

unfortunately my press cracked while making this sheet, so I got uneven pressure- this ended up with a slightly distorted sheet. Still the results were very promising.

the final size is roughly 60cm x 40cm, and the weight is probably 40gsm (a guesstimate for now).

Bio-paper, new process

Bio-paper, new process

testing out some new processes for my bio-paper, which resulted in this beautiful image.

this sheet is under 5 grams per square meter. It floats in the air currents in the room. I love it.
