Is this shot in auto or did you take it in manual settings?
The sea looks very blue and at the same time it is overexposed on the shore.

@kutteta i dont take photos on auto setting anymore. i play with exposure and white balance to create effects as u can see (thats all i can play with my camera). also i had challenges this time. most of the time it was too sunny and my tiny lcd display didnt give me exact results. so i was constantly taking multiple pictures with different settings and then looking at it later when i'm indoors. also i had a mere 62 mb card which didnt give me the luxury of keeping all my shots. so at the end of one session i deleted all the trial shots and kept the ones i liked. I havent photoshoped any of the pics.

i was trying a semi silhouette effect here which i think did happen but as u said there is an abrubt end to the sea background. its coz there was a slight slope after the place where teju was standing. and also the water towards the shore is extremely clear and so its just white.
