Way Out West, July '06

I spent some time in California, this month. I stayed with my friends Hans & Rkik whilst attending a conference in Santa Barbara, then I went up to San Francisco to visit a few labs up there. I love the California climate; it's warm without being overly humid.
I had visited San Francisco briefly last year, but this was the first time I really got to see anyhting of the place. It certainly has some great neighbourhoods, but I still need to spend more time there to get a better idea of the city as a whole.
