i made this a couple months ago

i made this a couple months ago by ellybeth.
but just added the collar recently because the neckline looked too plain. it's based off the built by wendy dress pattern, but i made a lot of changes to it.

just kidding. you could have a house to live in.
but really...think about it.

:) haha. love ya.
keep on inspiring me with these beautiful clothes of yours!

thanks, thanks, thanks everyone! Susan -- of course i'd live in your closet... if that would get me canadian citizenship. And Judy, that's the striped camel colored linen you bought me for the japanese purse! I had just enough of it left over to make this dress, but barely squeaked out a collar because I really used every last bit!

thanks for the props, Jenny! that means a lot coming from you. also, i've actually had two experiences with having to re-add a contact because it didn't catch the first time (hanne being one of them). I'm just thrilled you added me all together. and thanks for the compliments too hanne, I LOVE YOUR PICTURES!

The dress is great - I have been living in a couple that are pretty similar all summer long. And don't sweat overdressing - please! A little cardigan and some flats would make this perfect for anything. ;)

thank you everyone! i guess i've been a little behind lately... this is based off of simplicity 3964. i really like wendy's patterns, so i think it's worth buying them.

This dress is amazing! Perfectly understated. Throw a thermal on under it and wear it in the fall and winter. So fabulous!!
And a note to all of you thinking about going out and buying all the Built by Wendy patterns--- they are on sale at joann fabrics for .99 right now!!

oh, this is great. I just sewed from my first BBW pattern, the Simplicity 3835 dress--but I think this pattern (think I've seen it around but forget the number... ) would be more flattering, perhaps. Love your alterations and fabric choice!!
