Looks like I can't play my purchased videos until something gets fixed...

	Brian Sawyer says: Yes, I did get around to doing that. What confused me (as shown in the screenshot) was that QuickTime 7.1.3 wasn't available through Software Update (as the iTunes pop-up suggested it was). I tracked it down for a manual download, but I thought the process should have been smoother. Isn't the QuickTime update usually bundled with the iTunes download? Also, if QuickTime 7.1.2 was good enough to play the videos yesterday (after all, I bought them from the "iTunes Music Store," not the "iTunes Store" indicated in the error message), I'm not sure why an upgrade is really necessary to play them today (aside from Apple really, really wanting me to upgrade to support future purchases). 	bonniejean1943 says: iTunes 7.3.1 has created an authorization problem for iTunes purchased music flowing from iMovie HD to iDVD 5. When the handoff occurs from iMovie to iDVD, and the burn disc button is clicked, a window opens and states that iTunes will be opened because authorization for music to be used must be verified. iTunes opens and a click opens an enter password window followed by a message stating that authorization was successful for machine 1 of 5 machines. A click returns the computer to iDVD whereupon the process repeats, and repeats ad nauseum. This only happens with iTunes purchased music, not music ripped from my CD collection to iTunes. I had to go back to iMovie and delete all iTunes purchased music and replace the songs with music ripped from CDs ( in iTunes). Everything worked smoothly from importing music from iTunes into iMovie and handing off my movie to iDVD and successfully burning the DVD. This authorization problem basically eliminates using iTunes purchased music from DVDs created in iDVD. Any suggestions? Posted 12 months ago. ( permalink )
