Something fishy on the Square

If you aren't often downtown late at night, then you might not know that giant fish swim around the Capitol Square after dark.

I had a GREAT evening of photography and fun at the "Chazen Museum of Art Big Top Gala" this evening (well, last evening as I write this...) but I am too beat to sort through everything right now. I looked at enough of 'em to know I got some really fabulous stuff. I'm excited to share them.

Way home on my bike I encountered this giant fish and had to stop, of course. Stupid thing was that as I was walking back over to my bike, which was not even 20 feet away from me, a guy jumped on it and started to ride away. This is completely ridiculous because my bike is so distinctive that it would be impossible to steal it and ride around town without getting busted. Also, while it is among the coolest bikes in the known universe, it's not really resellable. Anyway...

Nobody messes with my bike. I hollered "OH, NO YOU DON'T! GET OFF MY BIKE *$#@?*&!" and chased the dude down, grabbed onto the back of my bike basket, and put all of my weight into it. He wouldn't get off and I wouldn't let go. I just kept yelling louder and louder. A car stopped and the driver got out and started yelling at the guy on my bike, got his cell out and said he was calling the cops. The would-be bike thief was suddenly willing to get off my bike.

I rode on home. Now, I'm going to bed. I'm telling you, it gets fishy up there on the Square sometimes.
