The Oldie interviewed the legendary bluesman in 1970, in this dingy Toronto hotel room, armed with a cheap Polaroid camera that proved faulty, (chemical soup time). This was the only rescue-able shot, and its fatal flaws actually give it a kind of funky grit (that's my story and I'm sticking to it...).
Mr. Burnett ended up playing a bunch of songs for me before I left, and told some tales of Mick & Keith that no lawyer would ever let me repeat...

Dodgy polaroid or not, it's hard not to love such an intimate shot of a blues legend.
Actually, I agree with your "funky grit" story, there is a certain something about this that probably wouldn't have worked had you been photographing anybody else.
