Dusty day’s end, 2006

Dusty day’s end, 2006 by Museum of Australian Democracy at OPH.
Ian KENINS, born 1961.

Ground curator Graeme Scannell sweeps the pitch at the Winter Reserve after a day’s play. Scannell has been the ground’s curator for 25 years, and says the current dry is the worst he can remember. The Geelong Cricket Association was forced to cancel matches in the 2006-2007 season when Stage 4 water restrictions prevented the watering of pitches, making them unplayable.

Geelong, Victoria.
