Dry as the bones on the bottom, 2002

Dry as the bones on the bottom, 2002 by Museum of Australian Democracy at OPH.
Andrew CHAPMAN, born 1954.

Many farmers have excavated their dams while dry to increase their capacity. Station owner Tim McKenzie stands under the inlet pipe to a dry dam on his property. Behind him, the bottom of the dam is littered with dead sheep and kangaroos.

Beilpajah Station, near Ivanhoe, New South Wales.
