Donald Sampson

Donald Sampson by Museum of Australian Democracy at OPH.
Peter EVE, born 1968.

In the middle of ‘a dry time’, Donald Sampson had time to show photographer Peter Eve around his property. While stocking levels are usually low on his property, they were particularly low at this time. Donald was still able to summon up some humour, ‘Yeah, not many trees around here. You have to have a wide brim hat up here—enough shade for you and your dog!’

Welbourne Hill Station, Oodnadatta Track, near Marla, South Australia.

I LOVE Australia, mainly cause I AM an Aussie, but its just that you get shots like this. Nowhere else, no matter what anyone tells you, this is unique and Bloody Terrific!

Straight horizon, single tree, brown contrasted with the blue, A fave.
