Mate

A Golden Orb Weaver spider living in my garden in Mandurah. At its largest it was about 12 cm from front leg to tip of back legs. The web, which extended three-dimensionally for about two metres side to side and one metre high, was about four weeks old. We have watched the spider grow as her stomach(?) distends. Note the small spider on her stomach. Is it the male? No idea.
