This is the Alderson Memorial Bridge in Alderson, West Virginia. It was completed in 1914 or 1915, so will soon be 100 years old. This picture was taken from the Greenbrier County side looking toward the Monroe County side. It is decorated like this every year.

I was fortunate to go by when there was fog and mist.

This photo was taken with an old point-n-shoot camera. It was taken from the Canadian side thru heavy mist ... hence the rainbow. Somehow, I lost the original image so copied the low-resolution image (126kb) from another photo site that I used to use.

The photo was actually taken in July 2005.

The bright red lights are at the railroad crossing since a train was passing through.
