Thanks for sharing this photo. I was looking for a CC-licensed image to go with a CC song mashup that I titled "Strange Town". Not that Tokyo is strange. Just that your image conveyed what I think my song wants to say. Here's the track. Thanks!

Thanks for using my photo.
"Strange Town"? I think Tokyo is a bit strange.
Actually, Akihabara is one the most strange town.
Do you know "air tag"?

There are so many air-tags in the air at Akihabara.
It is unbelievable.

Thanks for point me to the japantimes article! I was just discussing with some friends on Google Wave about Augmented VR. The article came in really handy. BTW, I don't think it's strange at all.

I guess I don't see technical innovation as strange, especially when the Japanese initiate it. In 2001, I remember seeing a Japanese friend whip out her handphone and offer to take a photo. I looked at her like she was nuts. "Shouldn't you use a camera? Did you just use the wrong device?". Then she snapped away using her phone and I realised what she meant. Now, camera phones are so common. So no, I don't think it's strange at all :)
