Sunset at Kiyomizu-dera 清水寺 Kyoto, japan
When we found out that it only cost $150 USD extra to stop in Kyoto Japan for a few days, we jumped at the opportunity. It was during the fall color, so we spent a few exhausting days walking around Kyoto.
This is Kiyomizu-dera. The temple’s support bean is built without the use of nails, and one of the few that overlooks the city of Kyoto. It seemed like the whole Japan was there the day that we went. We managed to squeeze ourselves up to the edge of a viewing platform during sunset. No tripod use was allowed. I took a few bracketing shots, but in the end, decided to go with the single shot exposure with my trusty grad filter.
