Thomas cake for Tate

    Newer Older

My 3rd son had wanted this cake since he saw it in Fran's photostream www.flickr.com/photos/franjmc/3516709081/
The bottom is choc mud cake with choc ganache and the top is white choc mud with white choc ganache. Thomas and Percy are made with modelling/gumpaste.
It is my first madhatter/topsy turvy cake, I based the Thomas and Percy figures on the books and toys my boys have of Thomas the Tank Engine.

    made explore #347.

This is such a fantastic idea to have the trains 'coming out' of the cakes - great!
