The Freitag flagship store, located in the Zurich-West developing area, is made of seventeen used freight containers stacked together. Architects: Spillmann Echsle.

I was there when the store wasn't open, so I'm not absolutely sure… The store is in the first four levels, and there is a viewing platform on top, so there must be a staircase inside the containers on level 5 to 9 – as the stairs on the outside don't go all the way up.

you are absolutely right: there is a viewing platform on top and a staircase inside the containers on level 5 to 9 – the stairs on the outside are just the emergency exit. it is worth to climb all the way up and enjoy the view. (you do NOT have to buy a bag to go up there ;-)
