Dust at Work

Dust at Work by Black Dust a.k.a. odonbd.
The small lake on the center is located a two hundred meters outside of the brick walls that surrounded my work. For many reasons, it has been an obsession of mine for the last two years to photograph it. The first step to get there is jump over the brick walls at work, without to call undesired attention. Once outside of the brick walls, the flat ground delays to absorb water, making it very difficult to walk in it. And usually, there are dogs guarding the houses, barking loud and angrily when someone goes on. A challenging task, but not a impossible one.

This picture looks very hot and the pond looks inviting enough. Keep an eye out for those, dogs.

@stewpic: Hi, Stewart. I'm always shooting that pond with zoom lenses from the limits of my work, and never happy with the results. So, finally I had a chance to come close.

Playtime. The filter takes over the scene and abstracts it. The question that comes to mind is, "what is this land used for? why the barbed wire fence?" ... your story behind the image-making adds another dimension; a challenge and a successful result. Nice pic.

.. I get the picture (and the story; I see the 'hidden' horse), but it is in B&W, does this mean to signify 'long ago'!?

@tonypraxis: Hi again, Tony. Well, if May-2007 means long ago, then that is long ago. (8
The option for B&W was a way to get more contrast on the picture and to avoid vivid or vibrant color schemes. Otherwise, the natural colors could results like this:
