In the Shadow of Ha Ling Peak

In the Shadow of Ha Ling Peak by ocean.flynn.
From Grassi Lakes, trail near the plaque dedicated to trailblazer Lawrence Grassi, Ha Ling Peak casts its shadow over the reservoir. Looking east we can see Mount Lady Macdonald, Cougar Creek canyon and Grotto Mountain with Canmore nestled in this section of the Bow River valley.

Craig and Kathy Copeland's article in the Calgary Herald recommended this outing last weekend and we enjoyed it so much we returned on a sunnier day. We brought friends again. He is from Nepal and she is from the Tonga islands!

The famous Grassi Lake Rock Art is located where the trail ends at the narrow gap between the east end of Rundle and Ha Ling Peak --a peak of Mount Lawrence Grassi.
